Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best famous for her performances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Her versatility has been demonstrated in 2003 with her impressive performances in TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit as well as 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. The role she played as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to draw her interest. It was however her performance as the women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actress. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 is renewed for a third series by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind finished the filming of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, a Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due to release by mid-2019. In that same year she was the sole Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan played the lead role in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a musical and dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The beauty and fame of Bachchan were then brought together in her first English language movie.
