Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as an Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shevchenko set the professional MMA record in 2002 during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. After this win, Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. She then lost her subsequent bout due to the split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's battle in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. It was the best fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts she won against Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
