Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B with a distinctive mix. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine's name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang and performed piano. Her music career started in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It was later remixed by numerous producers and is an essential part of her live sets. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for her daily shows at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform during President Obama's 2009 inauguration.
